So yeah! I’ve been imagining things again. The past, how it happened and how it affects the way I am today. There are things that we wished to have happened differently now that you’re all grown up and know better. I am one those people who wish to have done differently when I was younger, The “I should have done that! I should have done this!”. But it doesn’t mean that I don’t like the life I have right now. I love my life right now, my wife and kids, are the best thing that ever happened to me. Some people, I’m one of those, who also thinks that I should have done this or that to have given myself the right state of mind and in the right some sort of right financial strategy to better take care of my family. Honestly, I could have been one of those, What could have been, the potential is almost limitless. But to think that, I would be like this, like a fly on the wall. I never did measure up to what was expected of me, I’ve never had any regrets to anything that I’ve done in the past. I am proud of what I am, I am proud that I have my own family at a young age. I can take care of my family, well not the best dad, but I try to be the best dad to my kids everyday, the best friend and best husband to my wife., the best brother to my brother and sister, the best son to my parents. People may love me or hate me the way I am, but I chose to be like this. This is the way I am, the past, the present, and the future, this is the path I chose and this is my life is destined to be.
This is me. (not the song)
So yeah! I have not been posting much blogs the past few days but I’m not slacking though.. I write on my phone app but for some reason, when I save what I’ve wrote it did not save as unpublished or as a draft. So it’s all gone now, I have to remember it all for the meantime. I mean they’re not high quality articles but those are some things that I wanted to share to you, my reader. I do care about you and I want to provide as much content/blog everyday.
Thank you for still reading and liking this blog! See you on the next blog SomeDay Soon!
So yeah! Slow days! Do you ever have that feeling that days are so slow? And sometimes days or hours are so fast? Yeah. That’s right. I know how you feel.
Going back to the first question I made. The days, the hours, and the minutes seems so slow-moving that it’s dragging. And do you know why? I don’t. But I do have an explanation and here it is. The main reason time slows down in your perspective is that it has the element of anticipation, it has the element of looking unto the future, perhaps, but it’s mostly anticipation in my case.
Time slows down for me when there is something I look forward to but it’s on like after 2 or more week. The first week of waiting, my Gosh! I tell you, it’s going to be the longest 7 days, 168 hours, 1,080 minutes of my life! It’s like when you first heard of the plans for a trip or something will arrive to you or for you. Tick tock! Time slows down. The 7 days becomes a constant reminder of your agony waiting for those few days to pass by. Anyway, yes! Anticipation is the cause of misery when time slows down.
While I am ranting how time slows down, there is also a way to speed things up. Do you know how? I know how! It’s stress. Stress makes you old. I look older now than I look before and it’s been only 3 years since I look younger than my age. Right now, I look like a mess. I look old(er). Stress gets you that way like these: deadlines, not sleeping, bills, money problems, irregular sleep schedules of the kid(s) you have, pollution, weather, and a lot more that makes you stress. It will pump your blood with nonsense. Well, not totally nonsense but it makes your fill up with misery that you will eventually
So yeah! I had to have breaks on a Sunday because, here in our house. Sunday’s are family days! We take our time every Sunday to reflect on the week and we go to church. But this Sunday was special, because my wife cooked dinner for us! It’s a “shabu-shabu”. These are some of the pictures that were taken:
Some veggies, I mean one single vegetable is added to our “shabu-shabu”. It’s called “pechay” here cause I forgot what is the english word for it. Anyway, she mixed in crab sticks, crab balls, and urchin balls. Which is soooo good!
We started with this!
1 chicken cubes for 4 glasses of water, minced garlic and sliced onions and extra virgin oil. We try to be healthy. First, you have to saute the garlic to have the garlic-y taste for the soup. Because we love garlic! We like the smell and taste of it.
After the garlic-y has been properly toasted, she added 4 glasses of water with chicken cubes and also the onion slices. The chicken cubes has to be melted through the boiling water. We use an induction cooker by the way if you’re wondering what that “800” is indicating.
After that, it’s the most easiest thing! She just boiled all the ingredients, the balls and the crab meat are sent to a boil until cooked. After it’s cooked, she just put it in the single vegetable, “pechay”, and waited for it to be a little wilted on the boiling water. After all that process, she woke me up and I ate the 2 bowls of it. Yummy and healthy!
Oh by the way, the noodles are colored because it’s a different kinds of vegetable noodles. Carrots, Malunggay, Egg, among others. It’s good, any one of you should try it!
So yeah! I have been scouring 9gag.com. I think this meme relates too me, I mean I like the Lion King and Bear Grylls! Putting them together is a match made in.. Survival? I think when I do think about the movie Lion King, Simba did survive and he became King when he grew up and with Bear Grylls teaching us how to survive in the wild. It’s a win-win, I guess? I like it. It’s from 9gag.com, okay? Not from me, I don’t have a twisted mind to begin with. But this meme feels good and funny at the same time. Relate to it! I force you! Just kidding. My main logic in this meme, with Mufasa dead it would be a big waste if the “hyenas” ate him. A man needs to eat proteins to survive, Bear Grylls teaches us how to survive in the wild by eating anything and I mean anything! He eats worms and other disgusting things, right? Why not a lion, it’s free and it’s already dead. So why not? And Simba, we all know what happened to him. He won in life! That’s what is important after he beat Scar and the hyenas. So yes, that’s all! I’ll make a better analyzation next meme. 😀
So yeah! Today I’m going to blog about everyday things that has happened to me. Well, today was “ride a cab” day with me and my son going to his school. I have my bag for my work and I usually work at a mall’s food court, preferably in front of a store because it makes the place more “homier” to me. I did a lot in those couple of minutes, made images for this blog, my client’s blog, podcasts, and videos. I want to learn more, I may be getting hmm.. not younger but I still want to learn. If I have a chance to learn something new, I will try and learn it as fast as I can because I really like technology and learning about trends. I don’t want to be left out on things that may be important in the future. I remember the time, when there was only pagers and there was no mobile phones before. I thought that was the coolest thing ever, paging somebody and actually meeting them in that place that was sent to you. Well the pager wasn’t mine but it was owned by my dad. I held it though, and I really liked it. I was a kid back then, but now look at where we are right now. Not only mobile phones, but smart phones! Gone are the pagers and those big phones with the big antennas.
I’m getting off-topic here, so yeah! I wanted to buy shoes, basketball shoes! Because my shoes is not just a little torn-up but a lot torn-up! The foam of the sole is already visible under my shoes so I canvassed similar high cut shoes awhile ago and to my surprise, it was not that expensive. Maybe because it’s not the classic basketball shoes that I wear, but I really really like it. I hope nobody buys before I do. I still have 2-3 weeks to earn that kind of money from my work(I don’t earn much, that’s why). I do play basketball once a week nowadays though, I have kids and my friends have work, and I really can’t accommodate anything other than that one day of free time. I play with my high school friends and some of the new friends I gained from playing basketball. It’s a good camaraderie between all of us, it’s like a brotherhood of people who are a lot busy and still learning how to be a “grown up”. We all have different jobs, different lives, but we meet on that one day to talk and ask how we are doing and more. We are still very much involved with each other’s lives. At least, I have that thing going for me. I usually stay at home, work and play with my kids most of the time.
Anyway, enough of thinking about the past or what we could have done to change what we have today. We have to look forward into the future, because the present is most important, the future can wait.
